Dwayne Johnson announced yesterday that the gorgeous Alexandra Daddario, best known for her lead role in the Percy Jackson film series, will star as the lead actress in Baywatch–The Rock’s project to resurrect the classic 1990’s show on the big screen.  Daddario, 29, will team up once again with Johnson after co-starring together in San Andreas, shown in theaters this past May.

The Internet has been ablaze with hype over Johnson’s selection, and it seems that men far and wide will impatiently await Daddario’s depiction of “Summer.”  And In case Daddario hasn’t already stolen enough of the show, the movie’s supporting actor, Zac Efron, has been looking in top form of late.  Baywatch is expected to hit the screens in the summer of 2017.
