The Rock is ending 2013 on a high note after he was named the year’s highest grossing actor, outworking all other A-list stars at the box office to take the title most appreciated by the suits in Tinseltown, according to Forbes.
It would seem that the Rock simply outworked every one else in the list, and the cumulative effect of his toil catapulted him to the top of the charts. In 2013, Dwayne Johnson starred in Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Empire State, Pain & Gain and Fast & Furious 6, which grossed a total of $1.3 billion, trumping Robert Downey Jr. of Iron Man 3 fame by 100 million dollars.
