28-Days-to-Lean Meal Plan
With the right plan and the right discipline, you can get seriously shredded in just 28 days.
Read articleChris Pratt knows how to get shredded.
The July/August 2014 Men’s Fitness cover star dropped 60 pounds in six months to prepare for Guardians of the Galaxy, and, before that, he got a ripped six-pack to play a U.S. Navy SEAL in Zero Dark Thirty.
Now, the 37-year-old actor is doing it again.
For his newest film, Jurassic World 2, Pratt is sticking to an intense diet plan to get lean, and that means he can’t chow down on chips, cookies, or candy when he’s itching for a snack. Instead, the actor is eating some healthy snack options—and in perfect Pratt fashion, he’s been documenting his snacks on Instagram in a series he lovingly calls, “What’s My Snack?”
In the first video, Pratt has some fun trying to pronounce the “cacao baobab banana chia” shake he’s supposed to have, which has 210 calories, 10 grams of fat, 18 grams of carbs, and 10 grams of protein:
Pratt grabs some assorted sashimi for his next snack, which has a whopping 30 grams of protein, but only 250 calories, 15 grams of fat, and 10 grams of carbs.
Pratt digs in, and the noted outdoorsman jokingly says it “tastes exactly like Berkley PowerBait. I see why trout love it.” Pratt’s loving it too:
The third installment picks up with Pratt looking for a late-night snack. The actor whispers his way through the kitchen and picks up his snack for the next day: An “olive oil pistachio cake” with 210 calories, 14 grams of fat, 15 grams of carbs, and five grams of protein.
Pratt’s so hungry, he decides to eat a few bites—and then (almost) the entire thing:
The final installment: After falling prey to the cake’s allure, Pratt apologizes for his behavior and goes for a more “manly” version of “What’s My Snack?”
Pratt makes sure everyone knows that “snacks don’t have that kind of power over me” and that he’s “strong, I’m a man, and I don’t get all hung up over some cake.”
The last snack is an apple, and Pratt devours it in a way only a manly man could:
Pratt is gearing up for another mega-summer with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 coming out on May 5, 2017. But that’s only getting things started: 2018 might be his biggest year yet, with both Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World 2 hitting theaters.
One thing’s for sure when it comes to Pratt: He’s going to be in great shape for those films.
