That’s why the latest TV trailer spots for Alien: Covenant want you to “run, pray, and hide” from the monsters chasing down the crew of the titular (and, it goes without saying, ultimately doomed) ship.
The Ridley Scott-directed film, a sequel to the 2012 movie Prometheus and a prequel to the original 1979 film Alien, follows a colony ship and its crew as they land on a (presumably) uncharted planet. Of course, this being the Alien franchise, there’s way more than they bargained for on the surface—namely, a shit-ton of horrifying xenomorphs looking to destroy them in the most gruesome ways possible.
The look of this film is absolutely beautiful and terrifying at the same time, and these three new video spots only highlight the terror for the crew:
