What do you like best about working out?
How I can challenge myself both physically & mentally.
What or who got you started working out?
I got in the weight room at a young age to improve my athletic ability for basketball. Once the results started coming I was hooked.
Who influenced you to start working out seriously?
Honestly, myself. I also watched Michael Jordan religiously. I recorded every game, and once watched him working out with Tim Grover. We all wanted to be like Mike. He was the epitome of greatness.
What’s your favorite meal when you are getting lean?
I love my scrambled egg whites and oatmeal with peanut butter and cinnamon in the morning.
What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Sour Twizzlers.
What are your goals in the fitness industry?
I want to inspire people. The ones who say I could never do that, and make them believe they can. I believe we need to reach out to younger athletes and teach them the ways of proper nutrition and training to help them succeed in the sport they love. Sports taught me discipline and hard work.
If you win the M&F Model Search, what would that mean and what would you do with the title?
I have competed in this contest for the past 3 years. Every year I came back stronger. I was taught to never give up on what you believe you can do. If you keep going after your dreams and working hard one day it will all fall into place! We all fail it’s how we pick ourselves back up and learn what we can do that makes us better.
