IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay turns 29 years old today. The up and coming professional bodybuilder was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. Born into a family of fishermen, Big Ramy worked that trade until he arrived in Kuwait with his brothers. In between fishing runs, Big Ramy would hit Oxygen Gym to stay in shape.
It was in Kuwait where Ramy was discovered. Under the tutelage of owner and promoter Bader Bodai and with the training and nutrition advice of IFBB Pro Dennis James, Mamdouh Elssbiay will be stepping onto the Olympia stage next week with only one professional bodybuilding contest under his belt.
At 29 years old, already gracing the covers of bodybuilding magazines, he is one of the most talked about individuals headed into the 2013 Mr. Olympia. There’s perhaps nothing more Big Ramy can ask for his 29th birthday.
