Fouad Blog
Well I’m into my diet for Dallas and things are moving in the right direction.  There is some bad news though, I was sick the week before I started dieting with a sinus infection so I had to get antibiotics.  Being on antibiotics sucks because they tend to dehydrate you and I’m always trying to overcompensate.  I feel like my body is doing this yo yo thing with water.  It’s all good though, its good that I got this out of the way now.

The good news is I’ve dropped a bunch of water weight and since I’m not eating any crap anymore my body is digesting things much better.  That means less bloat, which means less distention!  I dove into this diet a little harder than I expected, I think the only thing I got into was some apples that were leftover in the fridge.  I didn’t wanna throw them out and I figured an apple hear or there won’t hurt me at this stage.  I mean, last week I was pounding back burgers like they were part of my diet so an apple won’t do shit.

Dennis (James) and I haven’t planned out the actual attack yet, I just wanted to get started cleaning things up now.  Here is a run down of what I did this week:

So that’s pretty much a rundown of what I’ve eaten all week.  I left out the couple apples I ate this week.  If you’re wondering I use about 1-2 tbsp of BBQ sauce with my chicken meals and add Sea Salt to everything.  I also drink about 8L (or 2gallons for you yanks) of water per day.  I only add Mio to 1-2L of that and that amount also isn’t including water in my shakes or if I have coffee, etc.

On a career note I finally got some new Hoss Gear coming out and think you guys are going to love it, but I gotta tell you guys a story.  So I wear one of the new sleeveless shirts to the gym and they have one of my favorite sayings on them; ‘Moderation is for Cowards’.  So a guy comes up to me and says, “Life is about balance and moderation, I don’t really agree with your shirt”.

Moderation Sleeveless 2014

At this point I was going to tell him to kiss my ass cuz I didn’t ask his opinion but the smart side of my brain said ‘what would a non-meathead say’ lol.  It was at that point I explained to him.  “If my shirt offends you maybe you’re scared of what you could accomplish if you weren’t such a pansy”.

Ok, I know that was a meathead thing to say but some habits just die hard.  Whatever, I just don’t believe anyone who ever became great at anything did it with any sort of balance in mind.  Moderation can be crippling, moderation basically to me says I’m gonna half ass it.  I don’t understand moderation when it comes to dreams.

If you decide you’re going to chase something, you have to go after it.  There is no time for parties, vacations, missing this meal or that training session, that’s all bullshit.  If you wanna be the best you have to attack that dream like someone’s trying to take it from you, cuz I got news for you, someone is!  Everyday people wake up and chase their dreams.  Those that do it in moderation might come close, but those that do it with conviction & dedication are the ones that achieve.
