The 2013 IFBB Europa Super Show and Expo took place this weekend in beautiful Dallas, Texas. The event, brought to you by Ed and Betty Pariso along with Scott Templeton, was packed with exhibitors, spectators, and athletes, including hundreds of NPC and IFBB competitors.
Almost 100 IFBB competitors took to the stage to compete in Men’s Open Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Women’s Physique, and Figure, and the judges had their work cut out for them when it came to choosing the winners of this show. There were multiple call outs in every division with the front-runners being brought out for a second evaluation on more than one occasion during prejudging. At finals, several tie scores needed to broken during the confirmation of scoring rounds, including two ties in the top 5 finishers of the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division (as announced by the head judge). When the smoke cleared and the final placements were announced, we had 4 more Olympia-bound athletes who will be headed to Vegas in 6 weeks, along with the other top 5 finishers who are now one step closer to their chance on the Olympia stage, due to the new point system.
