Read articleIf you’re a grab-and-go type of guy when it comes to shopping for condoms, Amazon and Trojan Brand Condoms may seem like an unlikely pair. Buying condoms online? Who would do such a thing?
Well, this news may convert you: Trojan and Amazon just launched an Amazon Dash Button—a Wi-Fi connected device (yes, literally a button) that ensures you never run out of condoms again. All you have to do is create an Amazon Prime account, purchase the Dash Button (it’s $4.99), and press it whenever you need to stock up on Trojan condoms. (A green light signifies a successful order; red means there was a problem and to check your phone for a notification.) They’ll be delivered to your door via fast and free Amazon Prime shipping.
The launch comes just in time for April’s National STI Awareness Month since a recent Trojan survey discovered nearly one in five adults didn’t use a condom the last time they had sex because neither partner had a condom. That’s bad news, since about 20 million new STIs occur every year, the CDC reports, and condoms are the only contraceptive that protect against both unintended pregnancies and STIs.
Or, you know, you could just buy them in person. But who likes doing that?
