Hell yeah, we are pumped about Terminator Genisys, which hits the big screen on July 1. As you can see from the June cover of Muscle & Fitness, we are especially excited about the movie. Our editor-in-chief, Shawn Perine, got the chance to go behind the scenes of the $170 million production at NASA’s Michoud Assembly in New Orleans, Louisiana, last summer to spend time with Arnold himself.
We get a glimpse of what Arnold is like on set and how he approaches the process of channeling the character that made him an action movie legend. More importantly, we get a bird’s eye view of how Arnold prepared physically for the role. Shawn works out with Arnold and describes the experience in some detail. You’ll be surprised by a few things, so make sure to get your issue when it hits the newsstands on June 1. Our friends at Paramount Pictures were good enough to share some stills of the movie to whet your appetite even further. We can’t help it, we have to give you a sneak peek. Leather jacket? Check. Symbolic shotgun? Check. The Terminator’s even added some perfectly coiffed hair to the mix. There’s no doubt that movie will stay true to the classic aesthetic. SEE ALSO: Arnold’s Letter: Set Goals Like a Terminator

Sarah Connor, Kyle Reese, fast moving vehicles, shotgun blasts, and (we assume) epic explosions. Need we say more?

He’s come a long way from the moody, hair-flipping tween we saw in the 90s. Now he’s a grizzled, scarred-up badass who doesn’t need any saving. We’re all for it.

No disrespect to Linda Hamilton (we all saw how much ass she kicked in Judgment Day), but we can’t wait to see Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke on the silver screen. The revamped Sarah Connor shoots robots, blows stuff up, and looks good doing it — we’re in love.

Age is just a number, especially when you have a titanium skeleton backing you up. The “old” Terminator still has the stare, the imposing presence, and a notable physique — just like the real Arnold.
