For anyone not caught up with the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, proceed with caution as there are Season 7 spoilers in this article. Ready?OK.Ah, Dickon Tarly. We hardly knew ye.Once you wipe the immature, and totally inevitable, grin off your face at the sound of his name—even Ser Bronn of the Blackwater (Jerome Flynn) wasn’t about to miss an opportunity to make that joke—we can only mourn the most impressively ripped dude in Westeros. While the more strong-jawed Tarly brother may have survived Danaerys’ (Emilia Clarke) fiery surprise attack on the Lannister army, he joined his father in refusing to bend the knee and pledge allegiance to another queen in episode five of the season. Upon their refusal, things naturally got a bit heated—and by heated we mean Danaerys whispered that magic High Valyrian word (“dracarys”), and had Dickon and his old man flame-broiled to a crisp.Still, beneath all that bulky armor was one of the most insanely ripped physiques in all of Westeros (and—let’s be honest—probably across the Narrow Sea). Forget banquet halls—Horn Hill must have the best in-house weight room in the Seven Kingdoms. And for that we must credit actor Tom Hopper, who took on the role in Season 7 after the original actor cast in the role (Freddie Stroma) had to drop out due to commitments to another project. While you may not have been able to catch a glimpse of Hopper’s carved six-pack abs, low body fat percentage, or sculpted quads in Game of Thrones, you can see firsthand proof thanks to his Instagram. Trust us: It’s the celebrity fitness inspiration you didn’t know you needed. Here are five photos from Hopper’s Instagram account to prove that Dickon Tarly was Game of Thrones’ undisputed fitness god.

Based on his Instagram, Hopper doesn’t just maintain his ripped physique by crushing workouts—he also eats clean. In one post, he shared a photo of a meal that included wild Alaskan salmon, brocolli, and sweet potato mash, with the caption: “Simple. Healthy. Delicious. Takes me 15 minutes to cook this bad boy. Quick and easy, and does the job.”Check out the full Instagram post here.

In one of his favorite routines, according to our interview with him, he holds “a barbell the whole time” and does “10 reps each of a deadlift, bentover row, front squat, push press, and back squat”—often called a bear complex—”while rowing or sprinting between each set.”Check out the full Instagram post here.

But Hopper’s workouts sometimes depart from the traditional gym. He does rock climbing, plays rugby, and even uses his young son Freddie as the world’s most adorable weight belt. In the Instagram post above, Hopper captioned the photo, “Who needs a weight belt when you have Freddie Hopper!”Check out the full Instagram post here.
