Marvel Studios changed the landscape of big-budget superhero blockbusters with Iron Man and The Avengers—proving that audiences would come back in droves to see a continuing story of badass characters year after year.Now, with Avengers: Infinity War, the studio is ready to change the game again.The wildly-anticipated film is doing something no other movie—superhero or otherwise—has ever done: It’s bringing more than 60 different characters from multiple movies into one huge battle royale.Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have previewed the mayhem, saying to SlashFilm that this movie will “change the MCU more profoundly than any movie has yet.”The lineup for the movie is basically everyone you’ve ever loved from the Marvel movies—and then some. Apart from the heavy hitters of the Avengers like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), characters from Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Black Panther will be in the mix, including Star-Lord Chris Pratt, in one of his seven most badass roles), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).Johansson spoke about the film on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and said that at one point in the movie there are at least 30 characters in a single scene.
