With six films spanning more than a decade, the Resident Evil movie series has been one of Hollywood’s not-so-quiet success stories. The zombie-slayer films have grossed nearly $950 million worldwide and the release of the latest film, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, should push the total over the $1 billion benchmark—a rarity these days, and especially so for video game movies.
And while they may not always get positive reviews from critics, the action and the stunt work from director Paul W. S. Anderson—who helmed four of the six films—has always been top notch, earning a devoted and vocal fan group.
The other constant to the series? Actress Milla Jovovich, who has starred in all six films as the ass-kicking, super-powered Alicia Marcus, the main protagonist of the series.
Over the years, Jovovich has been joined by a bevvy of beautiful and talented actresses, including Ali Larter, Michelle Rodriguez, Li Bingbing, andJohn Wick: Chapter 2 star Ruby Rose.
